Basiima Crafts Limited is a social enterprise dedicated to celebrating creativity, preserving heritage, and creating sustainable livelihoods. Founded over a decade ago by Jean Gideon K. Bugonzi, Basiima began with a simple belief: talented but underrepresented artisans across Uganda—and Africa—deserve access to markets and dignified income. Many of our makers are orphans, school children, widows, and unemployed youths with exceptional skills but limited opportunities. Through our platform, their work reaches the world—and their stories travel with it.
